Yes, it’s still raining!

Unfortunately, the hundreds of thousands of Tour de France spectators who are lining the Champs-Élysées, Place de la Concorde, and Jardin des Tuileries are still getting rained on this afternoon.

Arriving here from Nice, where the daily temperature was at least 30º C, I didn’t think I’d need to pack any warm clothes for days like this! As a result, I’ve yet to leave my hotel room and make my way to the route. According to the forecast, there should be a brief break in the rain from about 5-7 pm… ideal, since this is when the riders are expected to arrive.

I would like to have been on the route earlier as I wanted to see the women’s race, La Course by Le Tour de France. So, instead, I watched it on TV! Images from France 2.
